What an experience! Patio da Graça redefines dining with its exquisite Peruvian-Japanese fusion—a masterpiece of culinary art. Chef Rafa is truly a genius surrounded by a great team too.
In this restaurant, you don’t just eat; you *experience* each dish three times. First, with your eyes, as each plate arrives with an artist’s touch, meticulously assembled. Next, with your nose, as you pause to take in the complex, delicate aromas that hint at the flavors to come. And finally, with your taste buds—each bite is a sensory adventure, bringing together ingredients and flavors one would never think to pair but that actually harmonize perfectly. Every time we visit, and bring guests, it is sensory overload in the *best way*!
Every plate shows the thought and love that go into this remarkable menu. You could close your eyes, choose anything, and be guaranteed an incredible dish. As for Marta, our waiter for yesterday’s fine dining, she was flawless with her timing. She seemed to know exactly when we needed something, without being intrusive. What is also much appreciated is that the restaurant even accommodates preferences if you don’t want two portions, as the menu suggests, offering just the right amount with a smile or more than two portions!.
It’s rare to find this level of unique, eclectic cuisine outside major culinary destinations like Montreal, Paris, New York, or San Francisco, San Sebastián —but look no further. This exceptional gem is right here in Santarém, along the Portuguese Camino. Money well spent for one of the best Japanese-Peruvian fusion meals we have had in a long time. Truly unforgettable! Worth a visit or more I say!
